Colorado Springs, CO - UCSB won a consolation placement game 13-10 over 7th ranked University of Central Florida at the WCLA National Championship Tournament in Colorado Springs and everyone played in the game. The Gauchos went deep into their bench in the first half with 17 players seeing action enroute to a 6-3 halftime lead. The second half was all UCSB with starters in for the first part of that half and the Gauchos leading 10-5 with just under 15 minutes to go. Ultimately all twenty players suited up saw significant playing time. One by one every UCSB reserve entered the game and the Gauchos maintained momentum, taking a 13-5 lead with 4 minutes remaining. The reserves on the field for UCSB included three players raised from the UCSB 'B' Team for the chance to experience the National Tournament.
