WWLL Membership Categories
Full Members are teams in good standing with league policies, actively competing for a spot in the play-offs and participating in the All-League selection process. All teams are Full Members unless noted otherwise. All Full Members in WWLL D1 must be a member of the WDIA, the National Governing Body for college-club women's lacrosse. It is strongly recommended that Full Member institutions in WWLL D2 be members of the WDIA to be eligible for the WDIA D2 National Championship Tournament, program 'B' teams excluded. Dues are $475 per team.
Provisional Members are teams that are organized and have enough players but still need to prove themselves. They are to complete a schedule to prove they are ready for Full Membership. It recommended they play everyone in their division but it is not required. To be a Provisional Member a team coach and/or officer must be present at the WWLL Fall Meeting. Provisional members are not eligible for WWLL play-offs and players can't be voted onto the All-League team(s). Dues are $150 per team.
Associate Members are teams waiting in the wings to be approved for subsequent membership in the league, either as Provisional or Full members. Associate Members may not have had enough players at the time of the WWLL Fall Meeting to justify being Provisional or they may have formed their team after the Fall WWLL meeting so participation at the meeting is not required. If an Associate Member completes a schedule they may request Full Membership, by-passing the year of Provisional Membership. Associate members are not eligible for play-offs and players can't be voted onto the All-League team(s). Dues are $50 per team.
