The first half of the game was quite close with UCSB leading 6-4 at half time. Despite them pulling ahead to end the game with 19 goals, the second half was played well by both teams. The second half showed much improvement for UA by having better mid field transitions and ball control than they had in the first half. Both goalies played excellent!

Tucson, AZ - UCSB and Arizona started play mostly even on possession and defensive stands but the Gauchos scored the first 3 goals of the game to take a 3-0 lead 13 minutes into the game. That margin held until the Wildcats scored their first goal at the 19 minute mark. Some goal trading made it 6-4 in favor of the Gauchos at half-time. The second half was a bit of a wild affair with the two teams combining for 20 goals in that half alone. UCSB got the better of Arizona in that half too outscoring them 13-7 for a final margin of 19-11.
